I did not want to start this blog. In fact, I had plenty of other things to be doing, and rather despised those who are serial bloggers (people who feel the need to start numerous blogs at one time).
There was a time that I felt no interest in starting another blog ever again. And then that changed. I felt the need to start this blog– practically compelled to start it, in fact, despite the reality that I had no real time to devote to it.
I write for a living, and have another blog, so what would drive me to require yet another outlet? I guess it was when I realized that I have lots to say, but only to a targeted audience, because most others do not care or understand.
This blog is for those that suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder– those who understand. Likewise, it is for those that are lucky enough not to suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder– those who do not understand, but seek to.
On this blog, you will find my own thoughts and observations, as one who is afflicted with Seasonal Affective Disorder. You will also find information and resources that I come across shared with you in the interest of self-help, awareness, and education. I hope to also find your comments and thoughts on the subject– particularly if you are one of the affected, whether personally, or because of someone that you care about who suffers. In that way, I consider this to be more than just a blog, but rather a forum for those that attempt to fight the darkness, and its detrimental effect on their life.
